William H. Moore, 58, of Philipsburg died at his residence Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018.
He was born Aug. 19, 1959 in Philipsburg, a son of Herman S. and Dorothy E. (Carr) Moore, both of whom preceded him in death.
He was the owner of the former Moore Hobbies, Philipsburg. He was a graduate of the heavy equipment operation and truck driving programs at the former Frackville Community College, Frackville, Pa.
He had been employed as a union operating engineer and heavy equipment operator.
He was a life-time member of the American Motorcycle Association and a member of the National Rifle Association.
He loved riding his motorcycle. His dog Henry, which just recently died, would accompany him everywhere.
He enjoyed working on various side projects on his own or with his friends. He was known as an adept mechanic and computer whiz; he also enjoyed buying and selling on eBay.
He is survived by a sister, Shirley A. Moore of Claymont, Del.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home.
