Bonita Grace Socoski, 52, of Lewistown and formerly of Ginter, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 at Gesinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born June 7, 1965 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of Malcolm and Grace (Ramsey) Detwiler.
She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Lewistown.
She had been employed as a bartender at Houtzdale Loyal Order of Moose and Centennial Cafe, Houtzdale.
She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, crocheting and cooking.
On Aug. 22, 1998, she married Leonard J. “Crow” Socoski, who survives in Lewistown.
Also surviving are a son, Albert P. (Sarah) Miller Jr. of Wilmington, NC; a daughter, Betty Jo (Gary) Miller of Lewistown; two granddaughters, Alexis and Abigail Miller; and two step-children, Cindy (Jack) Carper of Altoona and Joseph (Cindy) Miller of Curwensville.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents and her first husband, Albert Paul Miller Sr. on June 12, 1991.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home, Houtzdale, with Pastor Teresa Hockenberry officiating. Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Trinity United Church of Christ, Lewistown. Burial will be in the American Legion Cemetery, Brisbin.
