Geraldine H. Muccio, 85, of Weedville died peacefully Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 at her son’s home in Kersey with her family by her side.
Born Sept. 2, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Assalone) Facchine.
She attended the Bradford School of Nursing, where she earned her nursing degree.
On June 26, 1954 at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Force, she married John S. Muccio. He preceded her in death Dec. 12, 2012.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Force and an active volunteer at the Bennetts Valley Senior Center. She was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted friend to many.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph Muccio and his wife, Diana of St. Marys, Richard “Rick” Muccio and his wife, Donna of Kersey and Gary Muccio and his husband, Greg Myers of Carlisle; one daughter, Maria Muccio of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Joseph Muccio, Anthony Muccio, Nicole Muccio and Kaylee Muccio; and four great-grandchildren, Alex, Marcus, Giuliana and Dominic
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Facchine.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Force with Fr. Mark Mastrian as celebrant. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
