Beverly Jean Yarger, 87, of Osceola Mills died Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 at home with her daughter by her side.

Born Feb. 17, 1930 in Houtzdale, Woodward Township, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Vergie (Albright) Kephart.

She was a member of the Sanborn Grange and the Ohio United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed camping and being with her family and grandchildren.

She worked at Sylvania and Navasky’s sewing factory in Osceola Mills.

On April 12, 1947 in West Decatur, she wed Kenneth E Yarger, who preceded her in death March 4, 2012.

She is survived by three sons, Larry Yarger and his wife, Nancy and Dale Yarger and his wife, Sue, both of Houtzdale, and Gary Yarger and his wife, Dee of Osceola Mills, and a daughter, Barbara D. Milliron and her husband, Chip of Osceola Mills.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, a sister, a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter. She was the last of her generation.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale, with Pastor Michelle Bodle officiating. Burial will follow at the Sanborn Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
