DUBOIS – The DuBois Public Library is offering a new club – the Crazy 8s Math Club.
The club is for any child who loves or hates math. The goal is to foster a love and understanding of age-appropriate math concepts through hands-on activities.
Participants will explore glow-in-the-dark geometry, toilet paper Olympics, spy school, flying marshmallows and exploding dice.
The club will have two groups. The first will be for children who are in kindergarten through the second grade.
The second will be for children who are in the third through fifth grades. Children must sign up to participate in the club.
The K-2 group will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning Jan. 9. The grade 3-5 group will meet at 4 p.m. Thursdays, beginning Jan. 11.
You should call now and reserve your child’s spot. Spaces are limited.
