CLEARFIELD – A student has been accused of threatening to bring a weapon to the Clearfield-Area Junior-Senior High School.
According to Lawrence Township police, the incident was reported by Assistant Principal Heather Pretash at approximately 12:11 p.m. Thursday.
The student was in the building and had made Facebook posts about bringing an AR-15 with him to school. Several students alerted the principal to the posts, she said.
Police arrived at the school and transported the student to the police station. The student was then turned over to juvenile probation.
Police said the student has been charged with terroristic threats, risking or causing catastrophe and disorderly conduct.
