State police at Ridgway
- The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Unit investigated a house fire that occurred at 1:57 p.m. Tuesday on West Hannah Street in Woodward Township. State police say damage is estimated at $200,000; the occupant wasn’t at home at the time of the fire. The investigation is ongoing at this time and anyone with information is asked to call the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800 or Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Tuesday at Pizza Hut in Clearfield. Jane Marie Didonato, 62, of Ridgway allegedly used obscene language and acted disorderly inside the restaurant. She was directed to leave and not to return. She was cited through the district court for the incident.
- Police reported on a DUI/drug violation that occurred Wednesday along the Clearfield-Shawville Highway. Upon making contact with the driver and passenger, police allegedly observed a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle. Police found the driver was wanted on warrants for failure to appear for court. Police say he was suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was taken into custody and to the hospital for a legal blood draw. Both the driver and the passenger were housed in county jail.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Joann Fabrics on Monday.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at a Beers Road residence on Monday.
- On Monday police report that a 52-year-old Dubois man was traveling on South Main Street when a deer jumped from an embankment. It impacted the windshield of his vehicle, causing minor damage. No injuries were reported as a result.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Agway on Monday.
- On Tuesday a 24-year-old Garden Grove woman reported to police that she was being harassed by her 24 year old ex-boyfriend via text message.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Joann Fabrics on Tuesday.
- On Tuesday police report that a vehicle driven by a St. Marys man failed to stop in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by a Weedville man at the intersection of Route 255 and the DuBois Mall. Minor damage and injuries were reported to police.
- Police reported multiple false alarms at Sears on Tuesday.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Burger King on Tuesday.
- On Tuesday police received a report about a 70-year-old DuBois man who made threats toward his mother who is a resident of Christ the King Manor. According to police, the manor’s administration locked down the facility as a precaution. The man showed up and was turned away; the situation was handled without incident.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about loud music being played in a vehicle on West Spruce Alley. Upon arrival, police didn’t hear any music. When police cleared and received printed information, it appeared it could’ve been coming from a residence. Police contacted the provided number, but it didn’t work.
- Police assisted medical personnel on West Weber Avenue. Emergency Medical Services requested help with gaining access for an unknown medical emergency. Upon arrival, emergency personnel evaluated a female and transported her to the hospital for treatment.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a female on behalf of a male. Police made contact with her and advised the male that she was OK.
