Judith K. Leech, 75, of DuBois died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Katharyn (Thompson) Leech.
She retired after 35 years of service with the DuBois Area School District, where she taught first grade.
She was a member of the Falls Creek Presbyterian Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the DuBois Retired Teachers Association.
She volunteered at the DuBois Area Historical Society and DuBois Regional Medical Center for many years.
She is survived by a sister, Gail Schuppenhauer and her husband, the Rev. Charles of Reynoldsville; two nephews, Gary Taft of Reynoldsville and Raymond Taft of Warren; two nieces who cared for her, Carrie Prosper and her husband, Jim and Jill Mancuso, both of DuBois; and three great-nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. with Pastor James Dixon of Elkton Presbyterian Church officiating.
Burial will be in Beechwoods Cemetery.
