Anthony J. Gaeta, 91, of DuBois died Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 at the Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
He was born May 14, 1926 in Tuxedo Park, NY, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Arietta) Gaeta.
Mr. Gaeta was a graduate of Tri State University in Angola, Ind., with a degree in civil engineering. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a district director.
He attended the Clearfield Alliance Church. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy.
Throughout his life, he was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing, especially big game and turkey hunting. Mr. Gaeta was proud member of the National Wild Turkey Federation.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Shulick) Gaeta, and a brother, Mike Gaeta and his wife, Elizabeth of North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Amelia and Antoinette and three brothers, Albert, John and Louis.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Robert B. Goldenberg officiating. Burial will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
