Kathie McGarvey Chandler, 69, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 at Riddle Hospital, Philadelphia.
Born Sept. 28, 1948 in Ogden, Utah, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Irwin) McGarvey.
She is survived by four children, Dan Irwin, Sherri Smith, Viola Hughes and Howard “Jay” Hughes; two sisters, Bonnie Hamilton and Rose Vance; one brother, Joe McGarvey; and one step-brother, Billy Landower.
She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Chandler and a grandson, Robby Hughes.
Friends will be received from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Madera, with the Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Brisbin.
