Eleanor Anne Briggs Peters, 95, of Centre Crest, Bellefonte, and formerly of Curwensville, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017.
Born in Shinglehouse, Potter County on Feb. 8, 1922, she was the daughter of Warren and Ella DeGroff Briggs.
She married Arthur J. Peters on March 4, 1946, and he preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Stanley.
A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she taught English and business courses for 26 years at the Curwensville Area High School.
She was a member of the Curwensville Presbyterian Church, where she previously served as an elder.
She’s survived by three children, Carol Krajewski and her husband, Andrew of Walkersville, Md.; Janet Friel of State College and Arthur Peters and his wife, Alice of Winston-Salem, NC.
She is survived by seven grandchildren, Alison Krajewski; Steven Krajewski and his wife, Georganne; Justin Krajewski and his wife, Cathy; Nathan Krajewski; Rebecca Friel Kennedy and her husband, David; Austen Peters and his wife, Mary Ann; and Eric Wilson and his wife, Heidi.
In addition, she was blessed with nine great-grandchildren, Madison, Ashlyn, and Jackson Krajewski; Samantha Boucher; Eve, Fiona and Jane Kennedy; and Halle and Sydney Wilson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the convenience of the family.
