State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Monday on Route 219 in Washington Township. During the incident, a female suspect allegedly took a 2014 white Mitsubishi Lancer from Victim 2’s residence. State police also say a safe, laptop, several other miscellaneous belongings of Victim 1 as well as his wallet were taken from Victim 2’s residence. The suspect’s last known location was at Sally’s Hair Care Store in DuBois at 12 p.m. Monday. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief/trespass that occurred Wednesday at St. Marys Cemetery in Winslow Township. During the incident, a Marble, Pa., man drove his vehicle into the cemetery and it became stuck while off the access roads. He allegedly struck six gravestones and markers and his vehicle became lodged on top of a gravestone. The man fled the scene and left his vehicle in the cemetery; charges will be filed against him.
State police at Philipsburg
- During the early-morning hours Monday, state police attempted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Cobalt on the Troy – Hawk Run Highway in Decatur Township. However, a 23-year-old Grassflat man allegedly fled at a high rate and he crashed his vehicle around one mile north. State police said upon impact, he continued to flee until eventually stopping in Philipsburg Borough, where he then took off on foot. Charges will be filed against the man through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a stolen phone in the area of Nichols Street.
- Police responded to a parking complaint along North Third Street. However, the vehicle had left prior to police arrival at the scene.
- Police arrested a male who had an active warrant on Turnpike Avenue. He was transported to the jail.
- Police assisted emergency personnel along South Fourth Street.
- Police arrested a female for allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs after a vehicle stop along Nichols Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged altercation involving a shotgun on Witmer Street. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an altercation between two females over a cell phone on East Eighth Street.
- Police received a report about a window being damaged after a rock was thrown at a Turnpike Avenue residence.
- Police arrested a male after he allegedly used force to remove pain pills from his father. He was subsequently taken to jail.
DuBois City
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a 6-year-old child. Upon arrival to the scene, police spoke with the mother who appeared to be OK. Police said that the child appeared to be OK and in good health, as well.
- Police received a report about an open door in the 100 block of North Main Street. Upon arrival, police located the open door at the rear of the building near the employee parking lot. Police said the door didn’t lead to the interior of the business. Additionally, all other doors were secured, and there wasn’t any property damage.
- Police received a report about a possible domestic dispute on North Brady Street. A caller told police they heard a female yelling for a male to leave. Upon arrival, police could hear the couple arguing through the door. When police made contact with them, both related their argument was over their current relationship. Police said the female wanted the male to leave due to him having another girlfriend. Both agreed to leave each other alone, and police cleared the scene.
- Police were dispatched to South Brady Street after a female called 911. She was reportedly crying, breathing heavy and difficult to understand. Upon arrival to the scene, police made contact with a male who related that he and his girlfriend had engaged in an argument. Both told police their argument was over family issues; the female stated that if the male left, everything would be OK. The male left the residence, and police cleared the scene.
