Beverly A. Hatten, 83, of Grampian died Monday, Dec. 18, 2017 at the Highland View Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Brockway.
Born Jan. 25, 1933, she was the daughter of Clair and Goldie (Shaffer) Clapsaddle.
Mrs. Hatten had been an in-home caretaker and also had been a foster parent for many years. She was Roman Catholic by faith.
On April 20, 1949 in Hagerstown, Md., she wed H. Robert Hatten, who preceded her in death March 19, 1999.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Myrtle Barrett.
Surviving are four children, Linda Freeman and Shannon Welch and her husband, Butch, both of Grampian, Rose Ann Dunworth of Florida and Richard Hatten of DuBois.
Also surviving are five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Droze Clappsaddle and his wife, Janet of Grampian and Paul Clapsaddle and his wife, Diane of Maine; a sister, Shirley Davis and her husband, Dennis of Clearfield; and a brother-in-law, Dean Barrett of LaJose.
At the request of Mrs. Hatten, there will be no public visitation and private graveside services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
