One Person Killed in Bradford Twp. Crash

BRADFORD TOWNSHIP – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Bradford Township.

According to state police, the crash occurred at approximately 5 a.m. in the area of state Route 970 and the Interstate 80 Exit 123 on-ramp.

State police say a Volvo Tractor/Semi-Trailer was traveling east on the off-ramp. It was being driven by 40-year-old Waylon A. Ream of Marshallville, Ohio.

At the same time, a Hyundai sedan driven by 22-year-old Thomas W. Denny of Weedville was traveling north on Route 970.

Ream pulled straight onto Route 970 from a stop sign. He began to travel onto the Exit 123 on-ramp.

While the Volvo Tractor was crossing Route 970, the sedan impacted its trailer’s right side. Upon impact, the Volvo Tractor pulled the sedan while it was lodged under its trailer up the on-ramp for approximately 140 feet.

Denny was pronounced dead at the scene.
