Margaret M. Crytser, 84, of Port Matilda died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte.
Born June 22, 1933 in Rockton, she was a daughter of the late Francis L. and Ethel E. (LaBorde) Nickerson.
She was a 1950 graduate of the Dubois High School. She retired from Penn State University where she worked in food service.
She was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Port Matilda. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.
On May 18, 1950 in Falls Creek, she married George W. Crytser, who died Nov. 9, 2007.
She is survived by a daughter, Lorrie Price and her husband, Russell of Port Matilda; a son, Jeffrey Crytser and his wife, Lisa of Unionville; four grandchildren, Ardra E. Mehallow, Rusty Price, Leslie Miller and Lindsay Meckley; and six great-grandchildren.
The last of her generation, she was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Gerry Crytser and a grandson, Robert Lee Price.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg, with Pastor Samuel D. Reese officiating. Burial will be at Rockton Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
