BREAKING: Clearfield Police Seeking Public’s Assistance in $40K Jewelry Theft

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough police are currently attempting to identify suspects who were allegedly involved with the theft of approximately $40,000 worth of jewels from Zalno Jewelers.

According to police, the incident happened at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at the jewelry store, which is located at 101 N. Third St., in downtown Clearfield.

The suspects entered the store and distracted its staff. A male suspect removed three trays of jewelry and left. After that, another male and female left, police say.

Police described the suspect vehicle as being dark-colored and a newer sports utility vehicle, possibly a Ford. The suspects were dressed in the same clothing and wearing black-rimmed glasses.
