Betty J. Aldstadt Hazeltine, 96, of Colden and formerly of Morrisdale, died quietly in her sleep Monday, Nov. 27, 2017.
Born Sept. 1, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Royal F. and Margaret Aldstadt.
She lived a long life and left an impression on others. She was a 1938 graduate of the Morris Township High School.
A long-time employee of Fisher-Price, she retired after working there for more than 40 years. As her health allowed, she would participate in many retiree luncheons.
She will be remembered for her frank and forward nature; her enjoyment of the Penn State Nittany Lions football team; and her love for hummingbirds.
She loved and was loved by her family. Her fire and obstinacy will live on in her six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her generation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Ford Hazeltine; son, James R. Hazeltine; daughter-in-law, Julie A Wojcinski Hazeltine; parents; seven sisters; and three brothers.
Out of respect to her final wishes, her family will not be holding a memorial or visitation.
