Lena P. Finney, 73, of Philipsburg died Monday, Dec. 4, 2017 surrounded by family and friends at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
Born Feb. 14, 1944 in Bigler, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Lena P (Maines) Hazel.
She was a member of the New Life Center in Philipsburg.
She was employed as a seamstress at JBC of Madera. She was also a member of Skills in Philipsburg.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing and making canvas needle point crafts for her friends.
On Oct. 20, 1973, she married Lowell Finney, who survives in Philipsburg.
She was the last of her generation and is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and seven sisters
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale, with Pastor John Dill officiating.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
