Nerissa J. Broad, 73, of Luthersburg died Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois. She was born Dec. 4, 1944 in DuBois, the daughter of the late Robert “Bud” and E. Jean (Peoples) Broad.
Retired, she had worked for Agape as an administrative director. She received a Bachelor’s degree in education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She had a deep love for the Lord and animals.
She is survived by her three siblings, Carol Gifford of Home, Pa., Charles Broad of Albany, NY and Kathy Wisneski of DuBois. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert H. Broad; and a nephew, Robert W. Broad.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Harold Hills officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5 at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
