State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred between Nov. 26 and Thursday on Cotton Lane in Bradford Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered an unlocked shed and removed a 2016 Kawasaki KX-250F. State police say it was green and white in color and the last four digits of its VIN are 9134. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Wednesday at Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 41-year-old Philipsburg man allegedly attempted to steal merchandise from the store.
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred Nov. 15 at the Philipsburg-Osceola High School. During the incident, a 15-year-old Philipsburg boy allegedly head-butted the victim in the mouth and kicked him in the chin, causing swelling and lacerations. Charges were filed through the Centre County Juvenile Probation Department.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Nov. 24 at Lykens Market in Port Matilda Borough. During the incident, a 72-year-old Port Matilda man, Elwood L. Seifert, allegedly drove away from the gas pump while the hose and pump were still attached to his vehicle. State police say the hose broke away, Seifert got out of his vehicle and threw the hose and pump in the garbage. He then left without remedying the situation. Charges were filed against Seifert through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Nov. 26 on North Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a known juvenile allegedly threw a stone at the rear door of the Rowland Theater. He was approached by an employee, at which time he began shouting and using obscene language. Charges were filed through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Nov. 15 on State Street in Rush Township. During the incident, a State College female, Kristie R. Gallaher, struck the victim in the face with a closed fist, slapped the victim and threw an ash tray at the victim. Charges were filed through the district court, and the investigation is ongoing.
- State police received a report about a possible violation of a Protection from Abuse order that occurred Thursday in the 100 block of Womer Road in Rush Township. The victim told state police that she received text messages from a business account that her ex-boyfriend might have had sent to her. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of identity theft that occurred Nov. 24 on Steele Hollow Road in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly gained access to the victim’s Kohl’s credit card and made a transaction for $94.78. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a vehicle that was allegedly stolen in the Merrill Street area. Police located the vehicle along Daisy Street, and it was impounded to be processed for evidence.
- Police received a report about an iPad that was allegedly stolen. Police say the victim used an app to locate the iPad in the Clearfield area. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a male and female who were acting disorderly on South Second Street. Police advised them of the complaint.
- Police were dispatched for a possible drunken motorist in the Spruce Street area. However, police searched the area and were unable to locate the motorist.
- Police received a report about a disturbance involving items being thrown from an East Ninth Street residence. Upon arrival, police were able to resolve the incident.
- Police reported that a male and female were served warrants after Lawrence Township police encountered them along the Clearfield-Shawville Highway.
- Police responded to a parking complaint along East Cherry Street. However, the vehicle had left prior to police arrival.
- Police assisted a motorist who had a flat tire along South Third Street. The Clearfield Borough Street Department assisted police at the scene.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with an incident along Washington Avenue in Hyde.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Williams and Merrill streets. Two vehicles were towed from the scene, and one female was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
- Police responded to a single-vehicle crash along North Front Street. Police say that a vehicle caused damage to a fire hydrant, street sign and utility pole. No injuries were reported as a result, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
- Police received a report about a phone scam. According to police, a resident received a call from a company claiming to be the Publishers Clearing House. The caller told the resident they’d won a large sum of money and $400 must be sent for its release. Upon investigation, police determined the call was a scam.
Decatur Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of child endangerment. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male at the Dollar General Store. He had been at the store for an extended period of time.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male. He was observed by numerous people jumping in and out of traffic in the Coal Run Road and Route 53 area. However, police were unable to locate him.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute.
- Police received a report about an erratic driver in the Philipsburg area. However, the vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday a vehicle driven by a 49-year-old DuBois woman pulled out from the Law and Finance Building into the path of a vehicle driven by a 63-year-old Falls Creek man, causing a collision. Police say that the woman was transported by helicopter due to her injuries. Both vehicles were also towed from the scene.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at VA Clinic on Thursday.
- On Thursday police received a report about a domestic dispute at the Garden Grove Townhouses. According to police, a 39-year-old Hanes Drive woman and her 49-year-old boyfriend engaged in an argument that turned physical when they punched each other in the face. Officers handled the situation without incident; charges are currently pending at this time.
