Obituary Notice: Violet Mae Freeman Keller

Violet Mae Freeman Keller, 90, of Clearfield died Nov. 27, 2017 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Oct. 21, 1927 as the daughter of the late Montgomery and Germaine (Vermeulen) Shaw.

Retired, she had worked for Berg Electronics for 22 years as an inspector.

She graduated from the Clearfield Area High School in 1945. She attended the Hyde Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her two children, Don Freeman and his wife, Norma of Olanta and Gloria Gill and her husband, Dennis of Clearfield; two step-children, Joyce Brungart and her husband, Ron of Lock Haven and Ernest Keller and his wife, Amy of Clearfield; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren with another on the way; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Earl Freeman; second husband, Willis Keller; and four brothers, Theodore, Blaine, Robert and Raymond Shaw.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Croft officiating. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
