CLEARFIELD – Community members can now make Christmas a little merrier for local senior citizens.
On Monday afternoon, the Clearfield Borough police, Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging and other local partners kicked off the Giving Tree program at Clearfield Pharmacy & Gift Shoppe.
Giving Trees are now located in both Clearfield and CVS Pharmacy stores. Community members can choose a tag and fulfill the gift wishes of their senior.
Gifts – with their Giving Tree tag attached – can be returned to the Clearfield Borough police station or the CCAAA Office no later than Dec. 11.
Gift bags are strongly encouraged to make it easier for gifts to be loaded and then delivered to seniors throughout Clearfield County.
In addition to the Giving Tree, community members can also help out with fuel assistance.
CBT Bank, a division of Riverview Bank, has established a fund. Donations can be made out to the Giving Tree Fuel Fund at the bank.
