At Thursday?s meeting, Karen Pfingstler asked the Clearfield Borough Council to proclaim Nov. 28 as ?#Giving Tuesday.? Pfingstler said #Giving Tuesday was established as a national day of giving.
She said #Giving Tuesday is a way for people to give back to their community in a variety of ways this holiday season. She said residents could rally for their favorite cause, volunteer for local organizations or donate to their favorite local charity.
According to the proclamation, #Giving Tuesday is a day where citizens can work together to share commitments, build a stronger community and to help other people. #Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to encourage citizens to serve others throughout the holiday season and during the entire year.
The council voted in favor of approving the proclamation.
