Mary F. Clarke Grenus died Nov. 11, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center with her family by her side. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She was born in Toms River, NJ on Dec. 14, 1958. She was the daughter of Cecil and Lily (Smith) Clarke.
She attended Toms River schools and moved to Woodland, Pa., in 1988. There, she met her husband of 25 years, Anthony Grenus, and she started her family.
She was a member of the St. John?s Lutheran Church in Clearfield, where she served as a member of the prayer chain committee.
She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, No. 812. She was loved by many and had a heart of gold.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jennifer and Anthony Grenus.
She is survived by two sisters, Jane James and her husband, Brian of Gilbertsville Pa., and Leslie Peterse and her husband, Arthur of Toms River, NJ and her best friend, Maggie Knepp of Woodland, Pa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Kathy Clarke; and numerous aunts and uncles.
At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring at St. John?s Lutheran Church with a reception in the fellowship hall to follow.
