Brett Michael Bamat, 36, of RD Philipsburg died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 in Morris Township, Clearfield County.
Born Nov. 10, 1980 in State College, he was a son of William Bradley “Brad” Bamat of State College and Patricia “Patty” L. (Couturiaux) Lynn of RD Philipsburg.
He was a graduate of the Philipsburg–Osceola Area High School. He was employed as a painter by trade. He previously served with the Pennsylvania National Guard, Hyde. He loved hunting and fishing in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert E. Couturiaux and his paternal grandparents, William and Barbara Bamat.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, William Bamat and his wife, Sarah of Philipsburg and Timothy “Tim” Bamat and his wife, Valerie of Morrisdale; two nieces, Alaina Bamat of Philipsburg and Allison Bamat of Clearfield; one nephew, Easton Bamat of Clearfield; and his maternal grandmother, Betsy Jane (Price) Couturiaux of Philipsburg.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
