DUBOIS – Nostalgia is filling the Reitz Theater and is soaking into our hearts this Christmas.
The Reitz Theater Players’ (RTP) original prologue creation, An Orphan’s Christmas Wish, sets the nostalgic feel for Anne of Green Gables, a timeless story of an orphan who changes the lives of all who cross her path.
Anne’s imagination and generosity bubble over with laughter and entertainment for all. In the words of Miss Florence Remsen, “Wherever Anne Shirley is, there’ll never be a dull moment.”
Anne of Green Gables, produced by Cultural Resources Inc. (CRI), with RTP’s original prologue: An Orphan’s Christmas Wish opens at the Reitz Theater on Dec. 1 with shows Dec. 2, 7, 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 3, 9 and 10 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are available at ReitzTheater.com, at the theater’s box office Thursdays 1 p.m. – 6 p.m., and at Kohlhepp True Value in DuBois.
You can join the nostalgic celebration of a generous child’s bubbly imagination, starring two young actors as Anne – Hayley Dilts and Julia Wirths.
The cast is full of RTP veterans and newcomers alike. The one thing that ties them all together is a love for Anne’s story. Seasoned Directors Andi Kohlhepp and Bobbie Reitz “hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoy directing and performing it.”
