State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Tuesday or Wednesday on Richner Road in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged a gray metal mailbox that belonged to the victim. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Sept. 19 on Edwards Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, a 24-year-old man allegedly stole several pills from the victim’s residence. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred Wednesday on 10th Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a male and female engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical when she struck him with a baseball bat. She was taken into custody without incident, arraigned at district court and lodged in the Centre County Correctional Facility.
- State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Wednesday at Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 39-year-old Philipsburg man allegedly removed a flashlight from the package and concealed it in his front sweatshirt pocket. He was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention personnel. State police charged the man through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Wednesday at Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 41-year-old Philipsburg woman allegedly removed multiple items and concealed them in her purse without paying for them. She was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention personnel. State police charged the woman through the district court.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Tuesday at the Chapman Trailer Court in Brady Township. During the incident, a Clearfield couple allegedly disposed of garbage in the trailer parker’s dumpster without being a resident since January. Both suspects admitted to committing the crime, and state police are continuing their investigation.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary/theft that occurred Oct. 21 on Hillman Road in Banks Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took a jacket from the victim’s residence.
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary/theft that occurred Oct. 2-3 on Hillman Road in Banks Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took a laptop from the victim’s residence.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Oct. 18 in Burnside Township. The victim alleged that during the incident, she was choked by her father. Upon further investigation, state police listed the incident as unfounded.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a child who was refusing to go to school. Police referred the matter to Clearfield County Children & Youth Services.
- Police received a report about a male who was threatening to harm himself. Police say he fled the scene but was located in the Rockton area by DuBois-based state police.
- Police arrested a Clearfield male for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Taco Bell on Monday.
- Police responded to Save A Lot for a report about a domestic dispute on Monday. Upon arrival, police found that a 34-year-old woman had left the scene, and she was walking toward the bridge. Officers found a 33-year-old man sitting on a bench at the store. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Tuesday Wal-Mart employees reported a suspicious male. Upon arrival, police located a 32-year-old St. Mary’s man who was asleep in his vehicle. Upon further investigation, officers found he was suffering from a diabetic crisis and emergency personnel were summoned to perform an evaluation. Police say the man refused treatment, and they handled the situation without incident.
- Police reported a false alarm at a Wasson Avenue residence on Tuesday.
