State police at Clearfield
- State police responded to a report about a three-vehicle crash Friday on Walton Street in Chester Hill Borough. According to state police, a vehicle was traveling south when it rear-ended another vehicle, causing it to rear-end a third vehicle. No injuries were reported as a result, and two vehicles were towed from the scene. State police were assisted by the Chester Hill Fire Co.
- State police responded to a report about a crash Saturday at the intersection of Deer Creek Road and the Allport Cutoff in Morris Township. According to state police, a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with another vehicle. State police were assisted at the scene by towing services, Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services, Moshannon Valley Fire Police and the Morris Township Fire Co.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred between Oct. 13 and Sunday in the 2000 block of Luthersburg-Rockton Road in Union Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s residence and removed a yellow plastic flashlight and a yellow extension cord. State police say they also damaged a wooden gun cabinet that was located in a bedroom on the second floor.
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred Friday in the 9800 block of Route 28 in Warsaw Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s residence and removed a camouflage crossbow.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred Thursday at the Philipsburg-Osceola High School in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a juvenile allegedly punched another juvenile several times. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about a Megan’s Law Violation that occurred March 7 on the Colonel Drake Highway in Bell Township. James L. Turner Jr., 36, of Mahaffey, allegedly failed to properly update his registration, which made him non-compliant. Upon further investigation, state police say Turner didn’t make the necessary update after changing his address, employment and cellular phone number. On Friday an arrest warrant was issued for Turner, and he was charged with three felony counts of failure to comply with the registration of sexual offender requirements. Turner was subsequently taken into custody by state police, and lodged in county jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault and harassment that occurred Oct. 18 at a Glen Hazel Road residence in Jones Township. According to state police, Benjamin A. Yonker, 19, of Wilcox asked the victim to come to the residence. While there, Yonker started yelling at the victim and it allegedly escalated into a physical altercation. Yonker was charged for the incident and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a juvenile female who was refusing to go home from a West Pine Street residence. Upon arrival, police spoke to the juvenile who agreed to go home with the mother.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle along Water Street near Lower Witmer Park.
- Police responded to a burning complaint along Spruce Street. However, police were unable to locate anything.
- Police responded to a report about a vehicle that was stuck on a retaining wall on Bigler Avenue. According to police, the driver failed to see the wall and became hung up on it. Police were assisted by a towing service; no injuries were reported as a result.
- Police arrested a male for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped for a traffic violation along East Market Street.
- Police received a report about juveniles being disorderly and attempting to get into vehicles on Williams Street. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate anyone in the area.
- Police arrested a male for allegedly driving under the influence of controlled substances after he was stopped along Bigler Avenue for a traffic violation.
- Police received a report about an alleged physical altercation between two brothers on East 10th
- Police responded to a reported 911 hang-up call on West Sixth Avenue. Police spoke to the residents who were not aware of the call.
- Police checked on a suspicious male along North Fifth Street. Police found that he was waiting for someone.
- Police received a report about explosions in the area of North Fourth and Reed streets. Upon arrival, police searched the area and were unable to locate anything suspicious.
- Police received a report about an altercation between a male and female on South Second Street. Police were able to handle the situation at the scene.
- Police received several reports about vehicles that were broken into in the West End of Clearfield Borough during the early morning hours of Oct. 16. As a result, police will charge a juvenile male and an adult male. During the investigation, a GPS Unit was recovered by police. Police believe it was removed from a vehicle in the Turnpike Avenue area. Police are attempting to locate the owner of the GPS Unit. The owner may claim the unit by calling the Clearfield Borough Police Department at 814-765-7819 or 814-765-1533.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a psychological emergency at a South Second Street residence.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of indecent assault. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police conducted a traffic stop on Route 879 and determined the driver was allegedly under the influence. Charges are currently pending blood test results.
- Police conducted a traffic stop on South Second Street, and it resulted in multiple arrests for drug-related offenses.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft from a motor vehicle in the area of Park Avenue Extension.
- Police received a report about a verbal domestic dispute in Edgewood. It resulted in a warrant service.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male on Route 879. Police were told the male was walking in the middle of the roadway in the construction zone. However, police were unable to locate anyone.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing at Wal-Mart. Police escorted the person from the property, and charges are currently pending.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of receiving stolen property that occurred on Route 879.
- Police received a report about an elderly male who was sleeping on the ground near the entrance to the Clearfield Driving Park on Mill Road. Upon arrival, police located the male who was walking and not in any distress.
Decatur Township
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief on Scott Lane.
- Police responded to assist state police with a parking/property dispute on Blanchard Street in Osceola Mills.
- Police received a report about people shining a spotlight in residences. Police would like to remind residents to be mindful of others.
- Police responded to a report about a property dispute on Ashland Road.
- Police are reminding residents it’s a traffic violation to pull into oncoming traffic to check their mail.
- Police received a report about a traffic complaint that was possibly a DUI on Route 53. However, the vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute at the Frenchtown Trailer Court. Those involved were separated as a result of the incident.
- Police received a report about a disorderly male at a local establishment. However, he’d left prior to police arrival at the scene.
DuBois City
- Police were dispatched to an alarm at the Tractor Supply store. Police say the alarm company reported eight, different activations. Upon arrival, police found the store was secured. As well, there wasn’t a key holder available, and no further action was taken by police.
- Police received a report about loud music in the 300 block of East DuBois Avenue. While en route to the area, police were advised the music was coming from a parked vehicle in a lot. When police arrived at the scene, they were advised the vehicle was gone.
- Police received a report about a residential alarm in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. Upon arrival, police found that it was secured; there wasn’t any key holder responding, and no further action was taken by police.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief. According to police, the caller had a pro-life sign in his yard, and it had been damaged. The caller told police he doesn’t know who damaged the sign.
- Police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred at H&H Supply. Upon arrival, police were advised that a male put a couple items in his pocket and tried to leave without paying. Police cited, 19-year-old, Leonard Hughes of Corsica, for the incident.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. Upon arrival, police were told a female was at the residence and she wasn’t permitted to be there. After some discussion, police say it was determined she was leaving the residence.
- Police responded to a report about a three-vehicle crash in the 800 block of Beaver Drive. According to police, a 2012 Hyundai was traveling west when it was rear-ended by a 2009 Hyundai. The first Hyundai was pushed into the opposing lane of travel, causing it to crash with a 2012 Dodge Caliber. Police say one vehicle was towed from the scene; no injuries were reported as a result.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief in the 500 block of South Main Street. During the incident, someone allegedly vandalized a pro-life display at the residence. The homeowner told police that boards on the display would need to be replaced.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute in the 100 block of West Scribner Avenue. Police were told a female was lying on the roadway with a child. Upon investigation, police determined she’d been pushed by her boyfriend, which caused her to fall onto the roadway. She wasn’t injured and didn’t want to press charges; the male agreed to leave the residence.
- Police received a report from a school police officer about kids who were going to be involved in a fight in the city park at 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, police located two juveniles who were using boxing gloves to box with each other. Police say it was decided that the juveniles would leave the park and refrain from this type of behavior.
- DuBois-based state police were assisted with a warrant service in the 400 block of North Fourth Street. Police say a 36-year-old male was taken into custody on the warrant.
- Police received a report about an incident of trespassing that occurred in the 100 block of South Brady Street. The caller told police that her boyfriend came into her house when he was uninvited. While conducting their investigation, police were told that they didn’t want the male arrested but also didn’t want him to come back.
- Police received a report about a possible female motorist who was driving under the influence in the 100 block of West Long Avenue. Upon arrival in the area, police observed the described vehicle traveling on North Brady Street. When it pulled into Sheetz, police initiated a traffic stop to make contact with the driver. Upon investigation, she was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol; she was subsequently taken to the hospital for a blood draw. Charges are currently pending laboratory analysis.
- Police received a report about a female and her child who were sleeping in a yard next to a business in the first block of North Main Street. Upon arrival, police determined they were from out of state and waiting to speak with a person about a place to stay. Police requested for the female and her child to leave and not sleep there anymore.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Division Street. According to police, the driver of a 2006 Dodge Ram pulled out and collided with a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox that was traveling north. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
- Police received a report about an incident of theft from a motor vehicle that occurred in the 500 block of North Fourth Street. During the incident, someone allegedly took several items from the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in front of her residence overnight.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief/trespassing in the 100 block of South Jared Street. The caller told police when he arrived home, there were several people inside his residence, and someone had shot an arrow into his refrigerator. He was unable to positively identify any of the people.
- While on patrol in the 300 block of South Brady Street, police observed a suspicious male in the area. When police made contact with him, it was determined that he was allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance. Police say he was also in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. He was taken into custody and to the county jail.
Sandy Township
- On Oct. 18, a vehicle driven by a 66-year-old Brookville man was traveling on East DuBois Avenue when he failed to notice a red light and was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting a truck being driven by a 70-year-old Reynoldsville man. No injuries were reported to police, and one truck was towed from the scene.
- A key ring, which was found on Route 255 near the old Sabula store, was turned into police on Oct. 18.
- Police received a report about a suspicious couple looking around a vacant house Oct. 18 on Wilson Avenue. Upon police arrival, the couple was gone.
- Employees of the VA Clinic reported a suspicious male who was taking pictures in the employee parking lot on Oct. 18.
- A 54-year-old DuBois woman reported losing her purse at the Sandy Club on Oct. 18.
- On Thursday a Sandy Township woman reported her boyfriend took her mother’s vehicle without permission. The vehicle was later located in Clarion County. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police responded to a Circle Road residence for a report about a woman “trashing” her house while her children were inside. Officers located the 41-year-old woman in her trailer and calmed down but she was intoxicated. Due to an outstanding warrant, the woman was taken into custody and transported to county jail.
- On Thursday Save A Lot employees reported a suspicious male who had been in the restroom of the store for approximately 45 minutes. The man was making loud noises and slamming things around. Officers were able to calm the man down, and when he was searched, he was allegedly found with drug paraphernalia. The 33-year-old Penfield man was transported to Penn Highlands for treatment; charges for public drunkenness were filed in the incident.
- Police responded to an alarm at the Falls Creek Eagles on Thursday. Upon arrival, police say there was evidence of forced entry and money from two Skill Machines was taken. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
