Kathy J. Hallowell, 68, of DuBois died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born Sept. 28, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Gloria (Alexander) Nasuti.
On July 8, 1967, she married David R. Hallowell. They celebrated 50 years of marriage this year.
She retired as the assistant manager at Matthew’s Hallmark at the DuBois Mall after many years of service.
She was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed her grandchildren and following their many activities.
She was always ready for an adventure. If there was an empty seat, she was in it.
She was the consummate party planner and holiday organizer. She loved celebrating family and friends and always remembered special days in their lives.
She is survived by two children, Brenda L. Kunselman and her husband, Scott and Bob D. Hallowell and wife, Heather, both of DuBois; two brothers, Ed Nasuti and his wife, Della and Bill Nasuti and his wife, Barb, both of DuBois; a sister, Jacque Boyles and her husband, Ronald of Clearfield; and four grandchildren, Haley and Aliza Hallowell and Courtney and Isaac Kunselman.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Leon Blose officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
