Ellen M. Vanatta, 76, of Reynoldsville died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 16, 1941 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of the late Bud and Jennie Synder.
On June 11, 1982, she married Dean F. Vanatta. He survives.
She was a caregiver and a homemaker. She attended both the Lighthouse Church and the Sandy Valley Community Church.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Anissa Marie Vanatta of St. Mary’s; a step-sister, Carol Dunlap; a step-brother, Harold Dunlap; and three step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Cathy and step-brother, Joe.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Lighthouse Church, DuBois, with Pastors Dean and Penny Smith officiating.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
