CLEARFIELD – Plans are currently in full swing and tickets are available for an annual fundraiser to benefit the Clearfield County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
The SPCA’s Ales for Tails is a craft beer and wine-tasting event. It will be held from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Clearfield Knights of Columbus Hall.
Live music will be provided by acoustic guitarist, Brandon Guiffre. A barbecue meal, courtesy of Alder’s Market of Philipsburg, will be included in admission, along with a tasting glass.
In addition to local breweries, numerous craft beers will be available for sampling. This year, the event will include two wineries – Bee Kind and Groundhog Winery of Punxsutawney.
Last year’s event was sold out, and a limited number of tickets are available this year, according to organizers.
Tickets are $25 (pre-sale) and can be purchased at the Clearfield SPCA, West Side Distributing, Race Street Brew Works, Farmers Insurance, Philipsburg, and BPM Systems Inc., DuBois.
“It will be a night of entertainment, prizes and a wide variety of local craft beer and wine,” organizers say.
