Maida Marie (Jury) Hubler, 95, of Morrisdale died at Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017.
She was born Feb. 10, 1922 in LeContes Mills, a daughter of the late Norman and Ora (Merat) Jury.
Mrs. Hubler had been employed at the former McGregor’s, Clearfield. She retired from the former General Cigar Co., Philipsburg.
She was a member of the St. Agnes Church, Morrisdale. Mrs. Hubler enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
She is survived by children, Ronald Hubler and his companion, Delores Hahn of Snow Shoe; Geraldine Erb and her husband, Tom of Curwensville; Dorothy Lowe of Lanse; Leroy Hubler and his wife, Carol of Fairfield, NJ; Helen Williamson and her husband, Dennis of West Decatur; and Henrietta Mason of Morrisdale.
She is survived by 13 grandchildren, Russell Hubler; Helaine Rougeaux and her husband, Greg; Theresa Casper and her husband, Harry; Ricky Biggins; Michael Lowe; Lynn Lowe and his wife, Dina; Jennifer Bamber and her husband, Tom; Justin Hubler; Lisa Wayts and her husband, Tony; Gregory Mason and his wife, Melissa; Dana Mason and her fiancée, Stephen Casher; Danielle Mason; and Robert Wagner Jr. and his wife, Jessica.
She’s also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, Casey Holliday; Joey Penzo and his wife, Kathryn; Jerilyn Penzo; Emily and Nicole Biggins; Derrick, Katie and Jamilyn Lowe; Jacob Kavelak; Olivia Williamson; Alexis, Breanna and Dylan Wayts; and Caitlyn, Nicholas and Riley Casher and a great-great-grandson, Gabriel Gunn.
Also surviving are sisters, Beatrice Picard, Olive Plubell and Sandy Shick and her husband, George.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hubler was preceded in death by her husband, Fermine Hubler, on Aug. 3, 1991 and to whom she was wed May 6, 1943 in Frenchville.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Wasner on June 20, 2016; a son-in-law, Butch Lowe; a granddaughter, Brenda Holliday; two grandsons, Christopher Lowe and Jerry Williamson; a great-grandson, Scott Holliday Jr.; two great-granddaughters, Dakota and Kyara Mason; sisters, Irene Plubell, Leona Picard and Genevieve Johnson; brothers, Edward Jury, Emerson Jury and Willard Jury; and two infant brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Morrisdale, with Father Robert J. Horgas as celebrant. Burial will be in Fairview United Methodist Cemetery, RR Morrisdale.
Family and friends will be received from 8:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale.
