Obituary Notice: Marion E. Lines

Marion E. Lines, 93, of Grampian died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at Ridgeview Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.  

Born Sept. 24, 1924 in Mahaffey, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Gladys (Vite) Hepburn. 

She had been a supervisor at the former Kent’s Sportswear in Curwensville. Prior to that, she had been employed at the former parachute factory in Curwensville.  She had attended the Curry Run United Methodist Church.

On Sept.10, 1944 in Niagara Falls, NY, she wed William Otis Lines, who preceded her in death Oct. 25, 2002. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ruth Auden.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna Jean Palmer and Cheryll A. “Sherry” Bloom and her husband, John, both of Grampian; three grandchildren, Amy Sue Poorman, William Bowman and Stacey Best; four great-grandchildren, Andrew John Rowles, Jaci Best, Cooper Bowman and Jacob Bowman; a great-great-granddaughter, Zada Rowles; and a brother, John “Jack” Hepburn of Clearfield.

Ate the request of Mrs. Lines, there will be no public visitation.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with the Rev. M. Bruce Dimmick officiating. Burial will be in the Friends Cemetery of Grampian.

The family suggests contributions be made to the Curwensville Public Library, 601 Beech St., Curwensville, PA 16833.
