CLEARFIELD – Lock Haven University Clearfield campus is considering the development of a multi-use recreational and fitness trail network and outdoor education spaces on its 100 acres located in Lawrence Township.

When developed, these community resources will be open to the general public.

The university has engaged a consultant to create a Master Site Development Plan to focus on potential uses of the property.

The public is invited to view the proposed plan and offer input at the final public meeting. The meeting is being held at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at 214 Founders Hall, LHU Clearfield.

The property is owned by Lock Haven University (approximately 75 acres) and the Clearfield Educational Foundation (approximately 25 acres), which supports the planned use and has committed to lease their portion of the land for this purpose.

This meeting is an opportunity for Clearfield community residents to view the proposed plan and offer input and suggestions as the Master Site Development Plan is being finalized.

Community members interested in attending the public meeting should RSVP to 814-768-3401.
