DUBOIS – On Monday night, the DuBois City Council passed an amendment to the change in the late fee charge for sewage.
The 10 percent increase per month was amended by council to become effective after 15 days of non-payment.
In other business, all-terrain vehicle permits for city-owned land near wells are still in the works.
There was also debate in regards to how many permits to allow at first, as well as how to fairly distribute them.
City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio initially suggested using a first-come first-serve system. Others, however, suggested using a review period system.
Council also appointed Anthony Suplizio to the Watershed Committee.
City officials will begin the process of renewing its noise ordinance annually with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
According to Councilman Edward Walsh, unless the city renews, the PLCB will use its own standards if a noise complaint is filed.
The council remained after the meeting for an executive session in regards to a pending lawsuit.
