CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County 4-H Teen Council wants to recognize the winners and participants of two contests offered during the 2017 Clearfield County Fair.
On Friday, Aug. 4, a total of 17 4-H and FFA youth took part in the Clearfield County 4-H Teen Council’s 10th annual Master Showman Contest.

The contest was open to current 4-H and FFA members, as well as 4-H and FFA alumni.
The contest served three primary objectives:

- to recognize current and past 4-H and FFA members for their involvement and dedication to the programs; and
- to raise money for the programs.
Fairgoers had the opportunity to read bios and view pictures for each of the 11 nominee and vote in a locked box in the Grange & Agricultural Building. Monetary donations were collected throughout fair week and tabulated to determine the winners.
The 2017 winners of the 4-H & FFA Royalty Contest are:
- First place, Landon Fairman of DuBois
- Second place, Chloe Pflueger of Clearfield
- Third place, Lindsey Swisher of Clearfield
The winners received a gift card of their choice, as well as a gift certificate to Neeper’s Sweet Treats of Clearfield.
