Alvin R. Johnson, 80, of Falls Creek died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at Highland View Healthcare Rehabilitation Center, Brockway.
Born Nov. 18, 1936, he was the son of the late Gust C. and Iva M. (Thompson) Johnson.
He was a painter at Darrel O’Donnell Painting for 32 years.
He enjoyed gardening and was an avid Penn State football fan. He was also a member of the Gospel Center.
He is survived by his niece, Wanda Mikulec of Falls Creek, who cared for him locally, as well as other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, Mary Renwick, LuRue O’Donnell, Levina Faust, Janet Klos and Gust “Kage” Johnson.
Private funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 16. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
