Allen Joseph Folmar, 64, of Frenchville died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at his home with his family.
Born Feb. 11, 1953, he was the son of the late Eugene and Margaret (Plubell) Folmar.
He had many friends who supported and visited him throughout his illness. He was a lifetime truck driver and retired from Wal-Mart.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Hahn Saltsman Folmar, and three step-sons, Douglas Saltsman of Clearfield, Todd and Shannon Saltsman of Woodland and Rodney Saltsman of West Decatur.
He had seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Ryan, Andy, Jona, Bobbi Sue, Lauren and Gage. He had several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
His siblings are Jim and Doris Folmar of Drifting, Shirley Platano of Ohio and Karen and Frank Anderson of Hilton Head, NC.
Along with his parents, he was preceded by two sisters, Bonnie Shephard and Sandy Matthews; a sister-in-law, Helen Franek Folmar; and three brothers-in-law, Thomas Shimmel Sr., Joe Platano Sr. and Jim Matthews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Frenchville, with Father David A. Perry Jr. as celebrant.
Friends and family will be received from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Mary’s of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, P.O. Box 159, Frenchville, PA 16836-0159.
Johnson Funeral Home, Grassflat, is in charge of the arrangements.
