Beulah W. Malinky, 99, a guest at Colonial Courtyard in Clearfield and formerly of Olanta, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2017.

Born Aug. 13, 1918 in Carnwath, she was the daughter of John James and Elva Jane (Snyder) Rea. 

Mrs. Malinky was a homemaker. She had attended both the Oak Ridge Union Church near Erhard and also the Faith Bible Church in Lumber City.

She had been affiliated with the Aglow Ministries. She attended painting classes and enjoyed painting; she had also participated in bowling leagues at the Clearfield Lanes.

On Aug. 16, 1941 in New Millport, she wed George Malinky, who preceded her in death Dec. 18, 2008. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herman and John Rea; and sisters, Geraldine Evans and Jean Nelson.

Surviving are a daughter, Kathy L. Pollick and her husband, Donald of Olanta; two grandchildren, Erik G. Pollick and his wife, Kari and Harmony M. Gearhart and her husband, Jeff; two great-grandchildren, Kaleb Pollick and soon-to-be-born, Reagan Gearhart; a sister, Norma Phillips of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Malinky will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with the Rev. Scott Schultz officiating.

Burial will be in the Fruit Hill Cemetery Ansonville.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
