Saturday night’s scheduled game between the State College Spikes and Mahoning Valley Scrappers was canceled due to inclement weather in the Niles area. The game will not be made up. The Spikes remain 2 ½ games behind the Scrappers for the New York-Penn League Pinckney Division lead with five games remaining in the 2017 regular season. Mahoning Valley’s magic number to clinch the division now stands at three. State College is still two games back in third place in the Wild Card race.
