The State College Spikes took an early lead, but the Williamsport Crosscutters chipped away and grabbed a 3-2 win on Sunday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The Spikes are now four games back of Mahoning Valley for the New York-Penn League Pinckney Division lead with 11 games remaining in the regular season. State College stayed 3 ½ games back of Hudson Valley in the race for the league’s lone Wild Card berth.
