Edward R. Watson, 79, of Clearfield died Aug. 10, 2017 peacefully after a second battle with cancer.

He was born May 6, 1938 in Philipsburg, the son of Lyle and Thelma (Moffat) Watson, and both preceded him in death.

He was retired from PennDOT where he was a radio operator. He was a member of the Shortway C.B. Club, a life-long member of Turkey Call Camp and a member of the Democrat Committee.

He loved fishing, hunting and going to Elk County fair with his pizza wagon.

He was married on May 15, 1975 in Woodland to Autumn Williams, who preceded him in death April 29, 2014.

He is survived by his daughter, Arnoldine Inlow and her husband, John of Clearfield; two grandchildren, John Inlow III of Clearfield and Lynann Porter and her husband, Matt; and two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Logan.

He is survived by two brothers, James Watson and his wife, Janice of New York and Bob Watson and his wife, Joyce of Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving, devoted companion, Marilyn Luzier of Clearfield.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor George Solley officiating at the funeral home.
