BELL TOWNSHIP – A Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal is investigating a house fire that occurred at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at 5922 Colonel Drake Hwy., in Bell Township.
According to the Punxsutawney-based state police, the fire destroyed a single-story residence. The victim, Robert Litz, 65, of Mahaffey, and his family were out of town at the time of the fire.
No injuries were reported as a result, and damage is estimated at more than $350,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, state police say.
