CURWENSVILLE – The Rotary Club of Curwensville donated to the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc. for the support of the annual Blizzard Box campaign.

Each year the agency prepares and places non-perishable meals in the cupboards of every Meals on Wheels and More recipient.

Each box contains three full meals that meet the required nutritional standards.  These meals are replacements in the event of inclement weather when the home-delivered meal vans are not running.

Since 1983, local Rotary Clubs, the Clearfield and Dubois Area United Way, individuals, and   businesses have provided support to fund this valuable program.

The agency plans to distribute more than 1,000 boxes to elders in the service area this year.

Blizzard Boxes are not funded with any government monies and rely solely on the donations of supporters.

Additional information can be found the agency Web site or by calling 1-800-225-8571.
