Beverly June Troxell Bigler, 91, of Clearfield died July 18, 2017 at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

She was born Oct. 19, 1925, a daughter of Glasgow Baird Troxell and Hazel (Spackman) Troxell.

Mrs. Bigler was a 1943 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. She attended the Temple University Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Clearfield, where she served as auditor, deacon, and elder. She was also an active member of the Ruth Circle. 

She was a member of the Susquehanna Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, as a historian, as well as serving two terms as regent. 

She was a former board member of the Seven Mountain Medical Service Association; Clearfield County Extension Service; Clearfield Hospital Authority; Clearfield Hospital volunteer (chaplain assistant; the Bradford Grange and Clearfield Area Council of Republican Women serving as secretary.

She was a member of the Clearfield County Republican Committee, a former precinct chairman of Lawrence/Hyde and the first treasurer of the Bilger’s Rock Association.

Mrs. Bigler was the co-owner of Bigler Supply Co., and she previously was employed by Bell Telephone, Shugarts Shoes, Dr. George Brett and PennDOT.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sara Gulich of Vienna, Va.; two sons, Michael G. Morris and his wife, Cathy of Atlanta, Ga., and Stephen T. Morris and his wife, Reba of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and three step-children, Harry Fred Bigler IV of New York City, NY, Virginia Bigler of Chicago, Ill., and Lynne Germer and her husband, Richard of Mount Joy, Pa.

She is survived by four grandchildren, Britt Dickson and her husband, Michael of Linden, Mich., Stephanie Parnell and Jason R. Morris, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Lisa Morris of Antioch, Tenn.

She is survived by four step-grandchildren, Chris Lodge of Atlanta, Ga., Eric and Jeremy Germer, both of Marietta, Pa., and Richard Germer, of Denver, Pa.; nine great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Fred Bigler III; her sister, Ms. Ruth Troxell; and a brother-in-law, Richard Gulich.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Presbyterian Church, Clearfield, with the Dr. Jimmy Hopper and Mr. Richard B. Barkley officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.

In lieu flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Presbyterian Church, 119 N. Second St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
