State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred July 1-3 on Douglas Road in Pike Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a chainsaw and a grass trimmer from the victim’s garage. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred Sunday on East Main Street in Reynoldsville Borough. According to state police, there was a report about an unconscious male. He had instigated a bar fight and allegedly assaulted the victim. The male was subsequently taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary/simple assault that occurred Sunday at a Laurel Run Road residence in Huston Township. During the incident, two known males allegedly gained unlawful entry into a residence and assaulted multiple victims. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of public drunkenness Sunday on Hospital Avenue in Brady Township. During the incident, a known female allegedly was under the influence of alcohol and causing a nuisance in Penn Highlands DuBois. She was subsequently placed under arrest.
- State police reported a DUI incident that occurred Sunday at the intersection of Smithfield Street and Forest Avenue in Sandy Township. A trooper conducted a traffic stop and a known female was taken to the hospital for a blood draw for suspected DUI. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Philipsburg
- On July 21, state police conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Pine and North Front streets in Philipsburg Borough. A trooper requested identifying information from both occupants of the vehicle, and a passenger provided a false name. He then exited the vehicle and started to flee, which resulted in a foot pursuit. The trooper apprehended the passenger and identified him as Thomas L. Golding, 35, of Philipsburg, and determined there was an active parole warrant for him. Charges were filed accordingly, and the investigation is ongoing.
- State police received a report about an incident of trespass that occurred July 26 on Paradise Lane in Huston Township. During the incident, two women were allegedly on the victim’s private property. Charges will be filed through the district court.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Friday or Saturday on Mauk Hill Road in Oliver Township. During the incident, the victim was subjected to alleged physical abuse. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred July 26-27 at residences along Banner Ridge and Passmore roads in Bell Township. During the incident, someone allegedly struck the victims’ mailboxes, causing damage to them. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
- State police received a report about an incident of public drunkenness that occurred Sunday on Grant Street Extension in Reynoldsville. During the incident, a 29-year-old Reynoldsville man was allegedly intoxicated in public and continuously knocked on a door at an apartment complex. He was arrested for the incident and then released into the custody of his parents.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred between July 8 and Saturday on Route 153 in Horton Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a 500-pound propane tank from the victim’s property without permission. State police are continuing their investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Ridgway barracks at 814-776-6136.
Lawrence Township
- Police are investigating an attempted burglary at a business along Daisy Street Extension.
- Police were requested to assist a female on Interstate 80. It was referred to state police.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a young male in the area of the Skate Station.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on the Glen Richey Highway.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person on Mann Road. However, police were unable to locate them.
- Police received a report about loud noise on Powell Avenue. Upon arrival, police spoke with the resident.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on the Old Erie Pike. According to police, a vehicle left the roadway and went down over an embankment. Police said as a result, a male succumbed to his injuries that were sustained in the accident.
- Police received information about a wanted person who was located in New Jersey.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police received a report about two juveniles who were allegedly caught committing a theft at Wal-Mart.

- Police received a report about a hit-and-run that occurred on Hoover Avenue. According to police, damage occurred to the left, rear quarter panel and wheel area. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received reports about scam phone calls. Police would like to remind residents to never provide your personal information over the phone.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment. A male stated that another male keeps calling his phone every night. However, police were unable to make contact with the victim.
Decatur Township
- Police received a report about a neighbor dispute along Ashland Road. When officers made contact with those involved, they were advised to cease their actions or charges would be filed.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft that occurred at a local business. It remains under investigation at this time.

- Police received a report about animals locked inside a vehicle at the Peebles Plaza. Police would like to remind residents not to leave animals inside vehicles when the temperatures are warmer.
- Police received a report about an unwanted male who was contacting another resident in a harassing manner. Charges are currently pending at this time.

- Police would like to warn residents about a bear and cubs that were observed in the area of Six Mile, Logan and Baughman Cemetery roads. Residents are asked to use caution to avoid any contact and to not get in between the bear and cubs.
