Sandra L. Hubler, 75, of Clearfield died Thursday, July 27, 2017 at her home.  She was born Oct. 13, 1941, the daughter of the late Wilford and Odessa (Brickley) Beach.

She graduated from the St. Francis High School in 1959. She went on to graduate from DuBois Business College with a degree in accounting.

After graduating from the business college, she went on to a career as a professional secretary.

In 1969, she took over as the owner of the Beach’s Concession Stand at the Clearfield County Fair until her retirement in 2012.

The concession stand was the oldest vendor at the fair, and it was originally started by Sandra’s grandparents, Alva and Frances Beach, in 1918.

She was a member of the St Francis Roman Catholic Church. 

She was a devoted mother to her family and a mother figure to many. She spent most of her life rehabilitating and rescuing animals. 

She is survived by her three children, Walter Hubler Jr. and his significant other, Rachel O’Dell of Philipsburg, Brian Hubler and his wife, Leann of Clearfield and Elizabeth Hubler and her husband, Troy Gro of Lewistown; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren with another on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial mass will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church with Father Brandon Kleckner as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. 

Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc.
