Rosella M. Kephart, 90, of (Sanborn) Rural Houtzdale, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at her home.
Born Oct. 30, 1926 in Decatur Township, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Rosella (Wilkinson) Martin.
She married John W. Kephart on June 23, 1951 in Brisbin. He preceded her in death Oct. 2, 1993.
Mrs. Kephart was of the Christian faith.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 6 in Clearfield and the Advisory Council of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
She retired from the Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Library in Clearfield. She had also worked at the Curwensville Library and for the former McGregor Manufacturing in Clearfield.
She was a 1944 graduate of the former Houtzdale High School.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Grace Kephart, Martha Jay, Emma Wilks, Julia Cumberland and Delores Albright and three brothers, Edward Martin and infant brothers John and Luther Martin.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen D. Nebgen of (Sanborn) Rural Houtzdale and Kathy McLaughlin of Clearfield; three sons, Darryl M. Lashinsky and his wife, Barbara and Kerry Kephart and his wife, Kathy, all of (Sanborn) Rural Houtzdale, and Cleve Kephart and his wife, Cindy of Lanse; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Charles Kehart and Pastor Stephen Durr officiating. Burial will be at the Sanborn Cemetery, (Sanborn) Rural Houtzdale.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
