State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred July 17 in the 100 block of North Second Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 28-year-old Philipsburg man allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with the victim. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred between July 1 and July 18 at a North Front Street residence in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a known suspect allegedly removed Oxycontin tablets from the victim’s prescription box. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred at a business along Turnpike Avenue Extension. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police responded to a report about a psychological emergency at a business at the Clearfield Mall.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred on the Rockton Mountain Highway. Police made contact with the driver who was cited for violations.
- Police received a report about an intoxicated and disorderly male on Libby Lane. He was lodged in the county jail and cited for the incident.
- Police received a report about a phone scam in the area of Warren Drive. Police would like to remind residents not to give out their personal information over the phone.
- Police received a report about a verbal domestic dispute on High Street.
- Police received a report about a motorist who was possibly driving under the influence on Clark Street. However, police were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police received a report about alleged child abuse that occurred in the township. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred at the Lawrence Township Rec Park. The incident is currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about an abandoned dog that was found by a person.
- Police responded to an alarm at a business along South Second Street. Police found it was accidentally set off by an employee.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an incident on West Side.
- Police received a report about an incident of loitering and prowling on Spring Street.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a female who was screaming in the area of Liberty. Police checked the area but were unable to locate anyone, and the complainant was unable to provide a better location.
- Police received a report about a stray dog in the area of South Main Street. Upon arrival, police found it was the second time it had been out running in the roads in two days. Police will cite the owner.
- Police assisted emergency personnel with an overdose on Pifer Street. A male was taken to Penn Highlands for medical treatment.
Sandy Township
- On Friday police received a report about the doors of a shed being left wide open on Larkeytown Road. Upon arrival, officers found the shed, which belongs to the tie plant, open and there were employees inside working.
- On Friday police received a report from a 55-year-old Treasure Lake woman who had received two phone calls from a man with an accent. He claimed that he was from Penn Highlands Dubois and he was attempting to collect hospital bills. He requested personal and payment information, she told police. She recognized it as a possible scam and did not provide any information.
- On Friday police received a report about a motor vehicle accident. According to police, a 20-year-old Treasure Lake man was unable to stop his vehicle in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Treasure Lake man who was stopped to attempt to exit Treasure Lake. No injuries and minor damage were reported as a result, police said.
- On Friday police responded to a single-vehicle accident. According to police, a vehicle owned by a 55-year-old Bush Court man slipped out of gear. It subsequently traveled down the owner’s driveway, across the road, through a neighbor’s driveway and down an embankment. It came to a final stop in the woods. Once pulled from the woods, the vehicle was drivable, and there weren’t any injuries reported in the mishap, police said.
- On Friday police received a report from a resident of a Hungry Hollow Road. They told police they’d heard a noise on the front porch, and when they went to check, they saw a hand pressing on the screen door. They stated that the person then ran off in an unknown direction.
- On Saturday LifeLine notified dispatch about an activation at a Reynolds Avenue residence. Upon arrival, it was determined there wasn’t anyone at home. The resident later notified police that they were having problems with their service and everything was OK.
- On Saturday Treasure Lake Security turned over some suspected drug paraphernalia that a resident had found in their driveway.
- On Saturday police received a report from a Hungry Hollow Road resident who stated that someone ran through their front yard and hit their mailbox, damaging it.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Glenn O. Hawbaker on Sunday.
- On Sunday police received a report from a 51-year-old Mountain Run Road resident who stated she’d observed three people outside her residence. One was on the porch, one was in the garage and one was up a tree, she said. Officers were unable to locate the people.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at TJ Maxx on Sunday.
