Linda L. Gearhart, 66, of Bigler died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 26, 1950 in Philipsburg, the daughter of Thomas C. and Margaret Hazel (Patton) Gearhart.
She was a graduate of the Clearfield Area High School and Slippery Rock University.
Ms. Gearhart was retired from the Pennsylvania State University. She was Methodist by faith.
She was a member of the Clearfield American Legion, the Curwensville Veterans of Foreign Wars and the National Rifle Association. Earlier in life, she had also served as supervisor of the Bigler Playground.
She is survived by her mother, The Rev. Hazel Gearhart of Lititz and Russell J. Butler, her companion of 30 years.
She is also survived by three brothers and one sister, Thomas “Roy” Gearhart and his wife, Lorri of Mineral Springs, Connie Gockley of Lititz, and Charles “Chip” Gearhart and his wife, Gayle and Pat Gearhart and his wife, Tamara, all of Manheim, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas C. Gearhart.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Bigler Cemetery with the Rev. Clare Pannebaker officiating.
